The self-developed pressure-balanced subsea electro-optical hybrid wet-mate connectors of AVIC Jonhon Optronic Technology Co., Ltd. have obtained authoritative certification from DNV (Det Norske Veritas), marking the first domestically manufactured product of its kind to secure such certification in China. With this milestone, Jonhon has acquired full DNV certification across three categories of wet-mate connectors: electrical-only, fiber-only, and electro-optical hybrid variants, making it the first domestic enterprise with full-range certified products in this sector. Having passed 34 extreme environmental tests covering eight major categories, the products comply with the international specification API STD 17F for offshore oil and gas applications. The successful rigorous certification grants the products market access to global offshore oil & gas and deep-sea observation projects, breaks the monopoly held by European and American brands in high-end subsea interconnection devices, and facilitates the bulk export of domestically made connectors to overseas marine engineering projects.
