Six outer sectors of 6 contacts each, plus a centre sector, give the 42-contact arrangement in a body diameter only modestly larger than the AWQ-4/24. The AWQ-7/42-MP is the preferred choice for heavy-class ROVs, complex tethered systems, and subsea control pods requiring the maximum signal circuit count through a single connector interface.
