XLPE Jacket 12 AWG Solar PV Cable Wire — Copper Conductor Red / Black 1500V DC

This 12 AWG (approximately 3.3 mm²) solar PV cable with XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) jacket is designed and rated for American and North American market PV installations requiring UL 4703 compliant PV wire in AWG sizing. The red and black colour options provide polarity identification compliant with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for DC circuit colour coding in photovoltaic systems. Rated at 1500V DC and 90°C conductor temperature in free air (600V / 150°C for UL 4703 PV Wire direct burial).

The XLPE jacket compound provides exceptional UV, ozone, and sunlight resistance — meeting the UL 4703 sunlight resistance requirement (100+ hours UV exposure per ASTM G155) and the direct burial rating for in-ground installation without additional conduit. 12 AWG is one of the most common conductor sizes in North American residential and commercial solar string wiring, accommodating string currents up to approximately 20A continuous.
