Our mining cables are purpose-engineered heavy-duty flexible power cables for the most demanding underground and surface mining environments. Designed to withstand continuous flexing, crushing, moisture ingress, chemical exposure, and severe mechanical abuse, they are the lifeline of mining machinery — from continuous miners and longwall shearers to shuttle cars, roof bolters, and haul trucks.
We supply low-voltage mining cables (up to 1 kV) and high-voltage trailing cables (3.3 kV, 6.6 kV, 11 kV) in configurations from 3 to 5 power cores, with optional pilot, earth monitoring, and control conductors. Constructions comply with AS/NZS 2802, BS 6708, CSA C22.2 No. 96, and IEC 60245-based equivalents.
| Voltage Class | Applications | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 1 kV | Continuous miners, shuttle cars | IEC 60245, BS 6708 |
| 3.3 kV | Medium voltage trailing cables, longwall | AS/NZS 2802 |
| 6.6 kV | Heavy mining machinery, substations | CSA C22.2 No. 96 |
| 11 kV | Surface mining, open-cast haul trucks | Custom / IEC 60245 |
For machinery at 480V or 1 kV, LV mining cable provides the necessary flexibility and earth fault protection at lower cost. For longer cable runs (over 100 m) or higher-power machines, 3.3 kV or 6.6 kV HV trailing cable reduces voltage drop and current loading significantly.
