The BHB3 series provides the same 600V DC/AC rated wet-mate bulkhead power connector as the BHB2, with a third contact added — enabling three independent power circuits or a 3-phase AC power connection in a single compact wet-mate body. The third contact supports configurations such as: positive DC + negative DC + protective earth (PE) ground; or 3-phase 400V AC motor power for subsea hydraulic pump drives and thrusters. Rated at 600V per contact with up to 90A per contact; depth rated to 4,000 m (400 bar).
The 3-pin layout is particularly suited to ROV hydraulic power unit (HPU) motor connections where a 3-phase AC supply is routed from the surface power supply unit (PSU) through the umbilical to the subsea HPU motor. The bulkhead mount allows direct installation through the ROV frame panel with a single sealed penetration supporting all three power phases. Upgrade from 2-pin (BHB2) to 3-pin (BHB3) when your system requires: (1) 3-phase AC power distribution; (2) a dedicated protective earth (PE) ground contact alongside positive and negative DC; or (3) two independent DC power circuits with a shared ground. For single-phase DC systems without a PE requirement, the BHB2 2-pin is simpler and more cost-effective.
The BHB3F is a SubConn Power Battery Series bulkhead connector featuring 3 gold-plated contacts rated for 600 V DC/AC rms at 25 A per contact (50 A max per connector). Chloroprene rubber body and nitrile O-ring seal enable wet-mate panel feed-through at 300 bar with >500 mating cycles. Bulkhead female for ROV frames, subsea enclosures, and offshore panels.
