Single Core PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Cable | 300/500V Flexible Power Wire

Single core PVC insulated and PVC sheathed flexible cable. 300/500V, Class 5 conductor. For flexible power connections, appliance leads, and applications requiring both insulation and outer sheath protection.

Single Core PVC Insulated & PVC Sheathed Cable — 300/500V

This single-core cable has both a PVC insulation layer and a PVC outer sheath — providing a higher level of mechanical protection than a simple insulated wire. The outer sheath protects the insulation from abrasion, cuts, and chemical contact, making this cable suitable for exposed flexible wiring applications where a bare insulated wire would be at risk of insulation damage.

The flexible Class 5 fine-stranded conductor allows routing around equipment and repeated gentle flexing in service — suitable for appliance connection leads, portable equipment wiring, and flexible connections inside enclosures where the wire may be repositioned during maintenance.

Insulated Wire vs Sheathed Cable

When the Outer Sheath Matters

A bare insulated wire (no sheath) is adequate inside conduit, trunking, or enclosed panels where the insulation is protected by the containment system. An outer-sheathed cable is required where the cable runs exposed, in contact with equipment surfaces, or in environments where abrasion, cuts, or chemical exposure could damage the primary insulation.
