Engineered for reliable electrical connections in the most demanding subsea environments, this connector insert delivers proven performance across underwater vehicles, offshore energy platforms, and oceanographic research systems worldwide.

Overmolded vs. Potting: Why Overmold Wins for Subsea

Traditional subsea connectors use field potting — applying two-part epoxy compound around the cable entry point in the field. While effective, field potting introduces variability: mixing errors, cure time delays, and application defects that can compromise water blocking performance. The RV POWER overmolded connector series eliminates these risks entirely by molding the chloroprene rubber body around the contact insert under controlled factory conditions — achieving consistent, repeatable encapsulation every time.
