The 1500 and 2000 series metal shell subsea connectors feature machined 316L stainless steel or titanium alloy housings — delivering the highest mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and pressure rating of any connector series in the product range. The metal shell construction is specified for the most demanding subsea environments: deep-ocean research equipment, heavy-duty ROV work-class tooling, offshore oil and gas instrumentation, and long-life permanent subsea observatories where connector replacement is impractical. The flange-mount (FCR) and bulkhead-mount (BCR) bodies are machined to close tolerances for repeatable sealing performance across thousands of mate-demate cycles.

The FCR20010F is the preferred choice for power-heavy subsea applications such as ROV thruster feeds, subsea pump connections, and high-power sensor arrays, where the 1500 Series' compact shell would require multiple connector pairs.
