Hi-Use connector, 2 male pins & 2 female sockets — Precision Subsea Connector for Marine and Underwater Applications

The Hi-Use connector, 2 male pins & 2 female sockets is a specialised subsea electrical connector or cable assembly designed for underwater power and signal applications in ROV, diver, and marine instrument systems. Built on the proven neoprene rubber moulded connector platform, it combines deep-water pressure resistance with simplified field-mating procedures — making it suitable for both permanent installation in subsea equipment and repeated mate/demate operations in ROV and diver support workflows.

All variants in this family share the core specifications of the rubber moulded connector platform: gold-plated copper alloy contacts per ASTM-B-488, Buna N 70 Durometer O-ring face seals, and neoprene elastomeric bodies that provide elastomeric pressure equalisation at full rated depth.

600 VDC Neoprene Moulded Gold-Plated Contacts ROV / Diver / Instrument Wet-Mateable

Key Features

  • Neoprene integral moulding — seamless waterproof body with no machined O-ring interfaces or adhesive bonds
  • Gold-plated contacts — corrosion-resistant in seawater; maintains low contact resistance over multi-year deployment
  • Buna N O-ring face seal — lubricated with silicone grease; provides reliable sealing through repeated mate/demate cycles
  • 600 VDC rated — suitable for ROV power, lighting, and signal applications; higher voltages available on enquiry
  • Locking sleeve compatible — anti-rotation locking sleeve prevents accidental unmating in ROV and diver operations
  • Dummy connector available — protective dummy seals open face during storage and single-ended deployment

Specifications

Maintenance Guidelines

Inspect connector faces before each mating. Clean O-ring surfaces and apply fresh silicone grease. After each subsea deployment, rinse with fresh water, inspect contacts for corrosion, and replace any O-ring showing damage or compression set. Store with dummy connectors installed on all open faces.

4P Hi-Use connector

Hi-USE connector is used on many products. The most common are our EMA-2 and ComRopes. The 4P has 2 pins and 2 sockets.

The 4P can be connected underwater. Roll over the alternate view images to see a pair connected.

Our Hi-Use connector is one of the most popular wet pluggable connectors available.

The Hi-Use has four conductors with two sockets and two pins.

It is a non-gendered that allows the same matching connector to be used on each mating component.

We use it on our ear/microphone assemblies, PowerCom/MilComs and on most of our hardwire communications lines.

We make this bare connector available for your projects.  The 4P comes with the bare connector and potting sleeve.
