Control Signal Cable | Unshielded Multicore PVC Control Cable 300V Industrial

Unshielded multicore PVC control signal cable. 300V, colour-coded cores, PVC sheath, 2–37 cores, 0.5–1.5mm². For industrial control panels, machine tool wiring, and building automation in low-EMI environments.

Unshielded Multicore Control Signal Cable — PVC 300V

Unshielded multicore control cables are the economical choice for industrial control wiring in environments where electromagnetic interference is not a significant concern — control panels away from VFDs, relay logic wiring, building automation in offices and commercial buildings, and any application where signal levels are robust digital 24V DC signals rather than sensitive analogue measurements.

The colour-coded cores allow identification of each wire at both ends of the cable run without requiring a core-by-core labelling system — an important time-saving feature when wiring large control panels with dozens of connections per cable.

Key Design Features

  • Unshielded — economical for low-EMI environments

Selecting Control Cable — Shielded or Unshielded

Unshielded — For Digital Signals in Clean Environments

24V DC digital signals have sufficient noise margin to tolerate moderate induced interference. In control panels and building automation installations away from variable speed drives, unshielded cables are entirely adequate and offer a significant cost saving over shielded variants.

Upgrade to Shielded When

If the cable runs alongside VFD power cables, through electrically noisy factory environments, or carries analogue signals below 5V, specify the shielded variant. The cost difference is small relative to the fault-finding cost if interference causes control system problems after commissioning.
